Power Operations Hellas S.A. today announced the acquisition of 81% of Power Operations Ltd (UK).
Power Operations Ltd (POPs) is an energy analytics company established in UK. With offices in London and Swindon, POPs provides integration and data processing solutions related to smart power grids (Smart Grids) and data centres. PowerOps employs modern algorithmic solutions (including but not limited to ARMAX/ARIMA models, Deep Belief Neural Networks etc.) and state-of-the-art platforms (e.g. Hadoop, IBM Proactive Technology Online and a variety of FIWARE Generic Enablers) in order to provide fast and accurate analytics for data originating from either directly AMI or existing Billing/SCADA/DMS systems. The result of this technological excellence is the PowerOps Platform.
PowerOps Ltd has received a number of prizes including:
- * Finalist (2nd position) at the European Commission ‘Industrial & Enabling Tech’ prize category in 2017
- * Highly Commended (2nd position) at the UK Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Innovation Awards 2019.
- * Finalist at the UK IT Industry Awards 2019 under the category of “Emerging Technology of the Year 2019”
- * Finalist at the UK IT Industry Awards 2020 under the category of “Emerging Technology Project of the Year 2020”
PowerOps Ltd has also participated in 3 succesfully completed European Commission Funded projects, under the Horizon 2020 framework, namely:
